If you have been struggling with weight loss for some time, there are areas that you should seek to take control now instead of allowing others to control them. This means you determine how much weight you want to lose and how you would go about losing the weight. Here are 6 areas you should be in control that will ultimately determine your level of success.
# 1 Think Thin
The excess weight is something you want it off your body, right? Therefore take control of what goes into your mind and head by thinking thin. Build mental pictures of your slim body in that bikini size swimsuit or that gorgeous black dress. Focus on staying fit and ward off any negative thoughts that depict you as fat and ugly. Many people focus on gaining weight and they do gain weight. The option is to think thin.
# 2 Eat Right
Before you embark on your weight loss journey, you should know the basics of eating right and better and what this entails. If you still love your sugary doughnuts or the French fries, it is time to rid them off and begin a new lifestyle of eating and drinking healthy immediately. Go for the best selections such as lean meat, fish, fresh organic leafy vegetables and fruits, whole grains, seeds and nuts. In other words, you should eat more mindfully, to lose the fat as well as to improve nutrition.
# 3 Small is Better
Eating right should be accompanied with smaller food portion size. You can give in to more frequent but smaller and nutritious meals. The leftovers can be saved up for the next meal. Use a smaller plate especially during buffet lunches or dinner as the tendency to overfill the plate may prove overwhelming. You may sample a little of each food just to kill your curiosity but the ultimate food portion is something you can control.
# 4 Overcome emotional eating
The emotional barriers are one area that you have to identify with and dealt with seriously. Some people eat for reasons of boredom, anxiety, stress, and anger. One way is to write down your feelings and thoughts each time you reached for food. Another way is to keep the mind body occupied with work or other forms of distractions such as reading a book, and listening to music. Using hypnosis or a technique called EFT has been proven to work well to correct an emotional attachment to foods.
# 5 Get a Work-Out
Any physical exercise can easily be done in the comfort of the home or office. For example, by taking longer walks to the office or using the stairs instead of the escalators is equivalent to a good cardio workout at the gym. You are in control of the time and the place so a good 20-30 minutes of physical exercise at least 3 times a week will get your metabolism up and running.
#6 Get a Health Check
Getting a health check is a good idea to ensure that you are on the right track of your weight loss journey. Knowing your own health condition will help you to pre-understand your own body and thus take appropriate control action for weight loss purposes. For instance, if there is a hormonal issue, your weight loss control action will much differ from another who does not have the same hormonal problem.
Perhaps you already know the areas that you should focus on to lose weight. What’s lacking can be found within yourself. The sooner you take back your ultimate control, the faster you will achieve your desired weight.

By just looking at those attractive and slim people who seem to always look forward to their gym sessions and stick to their controlled diet, you might think that they possess an “iron-will” discipline in them or they might have the advantages of good genetics. Well, I’ll let you in on a secret. They enjoy and do the things they do not because they have super human discipline power but because of the thoughts in their minds.

Our thoughts in our minds control our body and ultimately, our actions. When we change the thoughts in our minds to positive, empowering ones then our actions will change without much conscious effort. That’s why some people who thinks that discipline is all it takes to lose weight always tends to lose weight initially but after a while, they put on the same weight back again. This is because the thoughts in their subconscious mind are still fixated in “weight gaining” mode.

This is where weight loss hypnosis comes to the rescue. Hypnosis for weight loss is a therapy program which changes your habits and behaviors in relation to food choices and your cravings for food. During a typical hypnosis session, a qualified weight loss hypnosis therapist will guide you through changing your subconscious thoughts to eliminate food cravings, change and reinforce how you make food choices, instills motivation thoughts to help you enjoy exercise and overcome self-sabotage. All these factors cannot be achieved by simple motivation alone.

How does hypnosis for weight loss change your subconscious thoughts ? Well, during a weight management hypnosis session, whether through a qualified hypnotist or through hypnosis cd for weight loss, you will be guided and induced to a state of deep relaxation and mental focus. It is at this state where your subconscious mind, the powerhouse of your brain where emotions and feelings are kept, is open and more receptive to suggestions by external parties. This may sound very dangerous but hypnosis for weight loss as well as any other kind of hypnosis cannot make you do things you do not want to do. This would also mean that a weight loss hypnosis session is only useful if you want to lose weight and you are open to the idea of losing weight. If it is something that another person wants you to do, hypnosis programs for weight loss will not help you.

These hypnotic suggestions will include action phrases that cultivates new habits and behaviors like “Choose Healthier Foods” or “Eat only in response to your body’s natural need for food”. Other suggestions will also include positive phrases which helps motivates you to enjoy exercise and control and eliminate habitual snacking.

A qualified weight loss hypnosis therapist will work with you for a period of time, repeating these suggestions throughout your hypnosis sessions because only through repetition, the suggestions will take ground and hold firmly in your subconscious mind. The therapist will also teach you goal setting techniques and help you set a realistic goal for your weight management program.

Hence, hypnosis for weight loss programs goes beyond what simple motivation cannot do. It gives you an edge to get back control of your life and your weight. More importantly, once the suggestions take hold in your subconscious mind, these suggestions will help you keep the weight off for the rest of your life and you will never have to fight those uncontrollable cravings again because you will automatically choose not to eat when you are not hungry.

Are you trying to lose weight with lose weight hypnosis? It has been heard many great things about weight loss by hypnosis, but the question is, will weight loss hypnosis really work?

Hypnosis has been said to instantly change the way you think and feel about food. Many people have also been smoke free for years because of hypnosis. It is only natural to believe that losing weight by the method of hypnosis would work the same way. Often people may misunderstand hypnosis and think that as soon as they are done they will immediately start eating fruits and vegetables instead of burgers and fries. While this could be the case for some people it may be different for many others.

Lose weight hypnosis was introduced some time ago around the same time that people started using hypnosis to quit smoking. There is proven cases where people have used hypnosis to kick the bad habits. If you are serious about losing weight then you may want to consider hypnosis.

Weight loss by hypnosis has recently exploded as an effective way to lose weight. Case studies and examples range from an average woman who lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks with almost no effort, to the obese woman who lost nearly an astounding 95 pounds just from using these hypnosis techniques.

Hypnosis works by using subconscious suggestions. These suggestions can range from making a certain food undesirable, to suggesting to the body’s self-image that you really are a slim person.

While weight loss by hypnosis is a great way to trim the pounds, most hypnotherapists don’t hail it as the end-all-be-all. Effective weight loss by hypnosis is best when taken together with a great diet, an ample amount of water, and good rest. Although hypnosis is a great way to lose weight, having that extra serving of desert after every meal isn’t going to help. Fortunately, hypnosis can help reinforce those behaviors as well. In fact, clients of hypnosis often report that things just ‘fall into place. Their eating patterns naturally changed to a much healthier diet, without mental struggling.

To get started, consider visiting your local hypnotherapist for an introductory session about weight loss by hypnosis. Although this is considerably more expensive than a home study course, you will receive tailored attention to your needs, diet, and habits. For example, if you’ve tried other diets but constantly find yourself quitting halfway through, this may be something that a hypnotherapist could address in person, which couldn’t be covered in a CD or tape. Another example would be if you’re constantly tempted by a specific kind of food, he or she could tailor your sessions to tackling that habit - Again, something that a CD wouldn’t cover. Generally a client can expect permanent weight loss results by about 2 months of once a week visits.

If the cost of going to an in-person hypnotherapist is too expensive, online weight loss by the method of hypnosis CDs may be another cost-effective option. These are pre-recorded CDs designed to subconsciously help you lose weight. Oftentimes they’re not only vocal, but have a hypnotic background designed to put you into trace.

Are you looking for a way to lose weight that does not involve counting calories, joining programs, reading books, taking pills or swallowing drinks and diet bars? Are you tired of the yo-yo of pounds off, pounds on, pounds off and on again type of existence? Are you tired of exercising or bending your body into all kinds of positions that you find weird? Do you find yourself standing on your bathroom scale a lot? Maybe you are ready to learn about weight loss by hypnosis.
There are over 50 million+ overweight people in the U.S.A., most of whom are trying to lose weight or have been told that they should lose weight for health-related reasons. Kids and teens look to be joining the ranks of \”the overweight\” as this age group looks to be following in the footsteps of the overweight adults. Health care professionals tell us that being overweight can lead to health issues like heart disease and type 2 diabetes. If you are one of the many who find the idea of becoming healthier by losing weight then perhaps weight loss by hypnosis is something you can look into.
Hypnosis and Behavior
Emotional behavior is when our emotions control our eating behavior. It usually happens when we are depressed or stressed out. When we eat emotionally the urge to grab a bag of chips, or cookies and candy happens not because we are hungry, but because we are emotionally in need of something to put into our mouth. Emotional eating is inappropriate eating. When we become aware of our inappropriate eating behavior and understand the connection between our emotion and eating, it becomes easier to reprogram our behavior. There is more to changing the way we eat, then just learning how to count calories, or understanding food groups and portion sizes. Weight loss by hypnosis prepares clients to lose weight by relaxing them first, and then preparing them to reprogram the pattern of eating.
You will find that hypnosis alone will not be the entire solution to your weight loss goal. It can be a very important ingredient to a successful recipe that includes good nutrition, appropriate eating habits, moderate amounts of exercise and a body image that is healthy for you. Hypnosis is important because it causes the client to be relaxed and open to understanding the connection between emotional eating and weight gain. Understanding teh destructive patterns and being open to the suggestion of building healthy eating habits will lead to weight loss success.
Hypnosis may not work with everyone. There are individuals who are more open to suggestions and believe in the power of hypnosis. If a person is resistant to the idea of hypnosis and the possibility of it working, it is unlikely that hypnosis will be successful. Hypnosis is a temporary state of consciousness. The state is similar to what one experiences when they become totally absorbed in reading a book so much so, that they are oblivious to what is happening all around them. The state of hypnosis is only temporary, just like the trance-like state a reader may be in, is temporary. A loud noise or a touch on the shoulder can bring the reader back to reality. Hypnosis works much the same way. If you are one of the lucky persons that hypnosis does work for, then weight loss by hypnosis may be possible.

If you dream of the body of a Greek god or goddess, you don’t have to battle one-eyed monsters or hurl thunderbolts - simply eating like the ancient idols can help you get a body that people will worship.

The Mediterranean way of eating, which is a diet meal plan featuring plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, fish, olive oil and red wine, can help you attain the ideal figure. The Mediterranean diet has also been linked to a healthier heart and a longer life span. Foods with refined sugar, red meat, and fatty dairy products are rarely consumed, if ever.

Thousands of years after the powerful gods shook things up, the Mediterranean style of eating still makes great sense as a weight loss diet because you get full on a lot of high-fiber, low fat foods that leave you feeling satiated longer. The fruits and vegetables eaten as part of the Mediterranean diet are naturally low in calories, and are chock full of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, elements your body must have to create new and healthy cells.

The Mediterranean diet permits a higher fat intake than most weight loss diet plans, but it is healthy fat that comes from olive oil and nuts, which are rich in beneficial monounsaturated fats, and low in unhealthy saturated fats, like those found in cheese, ice-cream or beef.

Just bear in mind that for higher calorie items, like the red wine, olive oil and whole grains, you still must focus on overall calorie intake and serving sizes. The key to any successful weight loss meal plan is consuming fewer calories while still feeling satisfied.

When you feel satiated, it makes it a little easier to defeat cravings that most people who are trying to follow a weight loss diet go through. What good is a diet if you cannot remain on it because your appetite is out of control? Before starting any weight loss diet, you will need to find a safe, effective method to eliminate your urges, cravings and appetite to overeat.Lose weight hypnotherapy is a wonderful resource to help you curb your cravings.

The average person feels cravings and an urge to eat for two key reasons:

A. When you pair eating with any other behavior, the other behavior will trigger cravings and an impulse to eat.

B. When you feel tension, you feel compelled to put something into your mouth for pleasure and relaxation.

Let’s examine Part “A” first. Over 70% of the population learns much more quickly and easily by seeing, rather then by hearing. Think about it: If you have an urge to eat when watching TV, it’s because your mind recorded the video image of food in your hand, and then associated that image with the image of the television. From that point, each time you watch television, your unconscious flashes the image of the food in your hand, and you get a corresponding urge.

You have actually “programmed” your unconscious to make you feel cravings and urges as a “conditioned response” to watching television. The same thing occurs when you eat in your car or while on the telephone, etc.

Weight loss hypnotherapy will eliminate the conditioned responses easily by reprogramming your mind to have it trigger unconscious images of you watching the television without eating, and that will eliminate the urge to eat. It will also give you an urge to reject food in that scenario!

But what about Part “B”? Our sensations of stress are created by our thoughts. If you think negative thoughts, you feel tense and upset. If you think happy thoughts, you feel happy and relaxed.

If you have an upsetting thought seated at your computer, your mind will associate that thought with the computer. Thereafter, when you are sitting at your computer, you have a conditioned response; your mind will flash to that negative thought and you feel anxiety. Self hypnosis techniques can help you overcome these patterns almost immediately.

The techniques used in the most effective self-hypnosis programs are based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This technology works by using a person’s existing thought processes instead of post-hypnotic suggestion.

Video weight loss self-hypnosis can program your subconscious to use negative thoughts as a trigger for comforting thoughts. So if you start to think of something that is distressing, your unconscious will automatically change to a relaxing thought in a millisecond. You become relaxed, so there are no sensations of anxiety to set off your cravings. And without an appetite to overeat, it is easy to lose weight and keep it off permanently.

Adhering to a sensible diet plan, like the Mediterranean style, along with weight loss hypnosis means you can finally overcome your cravings to attain the body of a Greek god or goddess.

The South Beach diet plan is among the most popular ways to lose weight today. It is based around lifestyle and diet changes that help you steadily lose weight. By cutting “bad” fats and carbohydrates and having plenty of “good” ones, dieters can take weight off without feeling deprived or sacrificing their health.

There are three phases in the South Beach program. During the first stage, dieters can’t eat any carbohydrates except for vegetables. Although many foods are restricted, dieters still have a wide choice of foods they can consume. Stage one is the most difficult stage, but also the shortest since it only takes fourteen days. Dieters are expected to lose between 8 to 12 pounds during this period.

In phase two, dieters begin incorporating the previously restricted carb-rich foods into their meals. Dieters are expected to lose a few pounds each week while slowly increasing the volume of carbohydrates they eat. Phase two lasts until dieters arrive at their desired weight.

Phase three is the lifetime maintenance stage. Dieters utilize their strategies from phase two to keep their goal weight throughout the rest of their lives. If dieters start to put on weight, they can revert back to phase one of the program.

You have probably seen pre-packaged South Beach meals and snacks at the supermarket. These products are very handy, but you do not need to spend money on them in order to follow the diet. You just need to follow the different general guidelines for each stage of the program.

During stage one of the diet, you may consume lean meats, such as turkey, chicken, and fish, eggs, nuts, most vegetables, and a limited quantity of nonfat dairy products. Fruit juices and fruit are not eaten during this stage because they are high in sugar. Also banned are all carbohydrates, fatty cuts of meat, alcohol, and some vegetables that may have high sugar content, such as beets. The goal of this stage is to cut “bad” carbohydrates from your diet and initiate the process of losing weight.

During the second stage, dieters gradually reintroduce whole grains, fruit, and other banned foods into their diet. In the process, dieters learn how to balance their eating habits to keep a desirable weight. Once this is successfully accomplished, the diet switches into the life maintenance stage, in which dieters attempt to maintain the healthy strategies that brought them to their desired weight.

The factor for success with the South Beach program is dedication to healthy eating. Although that seems easy, this diet and most other diets fail because dieters give up before the program can achieve results. The problems that most men and women have with losing weight often stem from deep-rooted issues such as a lack of drive to lose weight, a habit of eating too much, or an inability to control the appetite. The good thing is that all of these issues can be resolved with techniques that are easy to learn from a good hypnosis diet CD program.

To reverse a lack of motivation, a technique from a technology called Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) will induce a powerful desire to stay on track with your dieting goals.

First, dieters identify precisely what things are most important to them, as an individual. This is known as their “highly valued criteria.” Then, NLP techniques are applied to make the dieters think that by losing weight, their highly valued criteria will become enhanced. An alternative is to make the dieter think that if they do not lose weight, their most valued criteria will be in jeopardy.

Motivation comes from what we believe in, not from logic! So in the above case, let’s say that the dieter’s most valued desire is that the dieter’s kids are happy and safe. Using an NLP tool known as Submodalities, we can lead the dieter into thinking that if she or he fails to lose weight, the kids will be fated to emulating their parent and they will be fat and unhappy. This belief will give a strong desire and feeling to stay on the diet and take the weight off.

Many NLP techniques can help to lessen or even entirely eliminate the urges and cravings that prompt one to eat too much. This works very effectively to help dieters stick to the first and most difficult fourteen days of the South Beach diet. Furthermore, helps dieters commit to a fitness program, which will enhance the efficacy of any diet program.

Stress is an issue that frequently drives people to overeat or neglect their well-being, but relief is offered by both hypnosis and NLP practices. One such tool is known as the NLP Flash. With this technique, having your unconscious mind use stress-causing thoughts to prompt you to have positive thoughts gets rid of the stress that causes the desire to eat excessively.

Uncontrollable eating habits can also cause men and women to pack on pounds. Countless people have seemingly unmanageable eating habits because over the years, they have developed a “conditioned response” to eat in certain situations. For example, many of us gorge on junk food in front of the TV even though we aren’t truly even hungry. The good thing is, NLP and hypnosis possess practices that can rapidly extinguish these conditioned behaviors. These practices eliminate the appetite without pills or drugs.

By treating the main problems that keep people from shedding pounds, NLP and hypnosis has helped many people finally get fit and slim for life. Combined with the South Beach program, dieters can enjoy natural weight loss and triumph at achieving their health goals.

Margarethe De Clermont asked:

Another day, another new diet, another new guru or another miraculous new weight loss pill…promising instant weight loss overnight.

The diet industry is enormous; billions of dollars are spent and made every year. Anything that even remotely target a piece of the weight loss market can bring considerable wealth to those who are determined to cash in on it. So on it goes, producing yet another “new” diet/weight loss expert to tempt us to part with out hard-earned cash…

There are so many different diets and weight-loss programs on the market at the moment that it is extremely difficult for somebody who has little or no knowledge of good nutrition to know where to turn to when they want to lose weight.Which diet will work? Which book should you read? Where can you get more information?

If it sounds too good to be true, it generally is.There is no such thing as instant weight loss. Starvation diets don’t work. I guess you have figured out by now that it is not possible to go from being unfit and obese one week to being svelte and in shape a few days to a month later.

One of the principles of NLP is that if something doesn’t work, if you don’t get the results you hoped for, then you should try something else. Makes sense, doesn’t it? So why do we keep on going on crash diets? You would have heard this many times before: Crash diets don’t work and the annoying fact is, this is indeed true.

Many people will start on a diet, but the percentage that will succeed will be small(less than 10%) compared to those who fail.

So why do some many people when face with failure blame it on themselves and try again… or change to another diet in the hope that this diet will finally work?

One of the problems that face people who are on a diet is the fact that they are constantly thinking about food. It is on their mind all the time and they soon end up feeling deprived.

They talk about it all the time, they tell everyone they are on a diet and bore them with the gory details…food becomes the main focus of their thoughts throughout the day (and the night!).

Does this sound familiar at all?

When you start a diet the first thing you have to deal with is HUNGER and that is why most diets fail by tea time on Monday morning. Starvation is too hard for most people to endure and for this simple reason most diets fail.

No one wants to starve and it is only human nature to do everything we can to ensure we get sufficient food so that we don’t have to suffer those persistant, nagging hungerpains.

If you are trying to maintain a diet that constantly leaves you feeling hungry, then you are most likely destined to fail. It’s just too difficult at the best of times, and when life gets complicated it becomes unbearable.

The outcome for most people after having had to endure this period of hardship is to get back onto the ‘eating too much’ bandwagon and pile the weight right back on and in no time at all. They are left feeling deeply disappointed and worse about themselves than they would have felt if they had never dieted in the first place.

So what’s the solution? Try something else! Try something different. Try self-hypnosis. Hypnosis will help you change your eating patterns, unearth bad habits and reveal false food and eating beliefs. It is definely worth investigating…before you start another diet doomed to failure.
